If it was a daily driven car, I would prefer the smaller turbo. Also, if you ever feel the need to upgrade after then you can go ahead and get the T3/T4.

definatly a t3/t4 hybrid with a external gate. These setups make great power and are easy to control boost. Downside it will cost more than a internally gated smaller turbo.

well im not looking for massive boost...just some nice power/reliability.Vtec isnt giving me a boner anymore.Everyone agree on the t3/t4 then?If I externally wastegate it Im not planning on exceeding 7-7.6 psi.Im probably gonna noob it and use an fmu as well. All those uberdata write-ups are too overwhelming for my roasted mind. This is just the beginning though.Basicly Im trying to boost without blowing up my motor. My nissan homies always told me that a t25 is a great choice for low boost.I think id be satisfied with 220-250whp.Is that an achievable goal with a t25 on a b17a?So fellas which turbo can satisfy my 220whp thirst w/o uber or tuning, yet not destroy my dohcvtec?T3,t3/t4, or the hair dryer t25?

i'd stay away from a t25 on any b-series, turbo is way to small, and it's going to really become inefficient on the top end. ---- it would probably take 15 psi on that little ****** to make 230whp, if you wanna go budget get a T3 .60/.63 its a great turbo (and its internaly gated). They come off ford mustang svo's/tbirds and meurker xr4ti's. They are kinda hard to find since alot of people want them. But you would have no problem making 225-235whp at 8psi on that turbo and tuned good.

A 1/2-way option between the T3 and the T25 is the TE04 from Dodge. It's a Mitsubishi turbo with a wierd flange, but the 1.3L (Suzuki, et al) racing crowd loves it.

for what you're looking for, i would say t3/t4, since its a b. you'd get tired of the t25 really fast.
