Re:bad return line lots of smoke!!!
well, i looked for a ball fitting restrictor and could not find one that didnt have a rubber seal or plastic parts.
i even looked in the aircompressor fittings as well and they still had plastic in theirs.
as for which valve is not good from home depot. i will take a picture of the one i used and show you why it did not work for MY setup.
remember, i dont have a honda or other import. i have a GM 3400 3.4L v6 that ive turbo'd and the oil pressure can and does exceed 60psi.
what ive done to help control it for now is this...
took a 1/4 sold aluminum rod and drilled a 7/64" hole thru 3" section and then cut my feed line and inserted the rod into the hose and then clamped the cut ends back on.
it did lower the psi a lot, but still not enough to stop the oil seal leak on the turbo.
so what i did was take another clamp and then tightened it on hose itself, nothing in the hose to clamp onto so it slowly closes the oil feed tube.
by doing this, it lowers the oil pressure before my restrictor and allows me to control the amount of flow coming out of the tip.
this is only a temporary solution
again, i would recomend stealmodes restrctor valve.

Re:bad return line lots of smoke!!!
mine looks just like that but its brass
if you take off the "top" part with the screw in piece that actually tightens the rod on the inside, does that thing have a rubber O ring in it? if so, mine blew right past that o ring and dumped 4 qts of oil all over the front of my engine.

Re:bad return line lots of smoke!!!
i did have a smaller bit than 7/64'ths, but it broke the second i applied pressure on my first piece i tried to do. it was steel and as soon as it broke that bit and the next bit, i went searching from some aluminum rod.
by the time i found the rod and got the drill bits rounded up again, the smallest i had was the 7/64ths.
i will probable go get another drill bit that will hold up a little better this time around.
