bad return line lots of smoke!!!
 
i just recently installed my tapped oil for for my b18b and when i started the car it puffs out white smoke at idal and when i rev it up it puffs out black smoke this is the first time this has happend to me so if anyone has some info that would b great. and i know my turbo isnt bad because its bran new from down2turbo. ill take pics of my set up in a bit and post them. thanks for looking.

you should get an oil restrictor. is your oil line a AN-4 , that might allow too much oil volume. a restrictor could solve your issues. 98ctr

yea i was thinking about that. do u know if any kind of local places would carry them or r they special orders.? thanks for the info.

do NOT use a valve from home depot (brass fitting section).

i tried one and blew it out the next day.

get one from stealthmode for $12 shipped, i am

get one of the regular ball valves, not the ones from the brass section

I took a stainless AN union welded the inside of it and then drill a .050 hole straight through the middle of it. 98ctr

so would my local earls oil fittings store carry one?? and if u go to home depot do they look like the ones on steathmodes link? but thanks for all the info.

from what I know, anything smaller then a full T4 should have an oil restrictor. But thats just what I heard and don't know if its 100% accurate. I do know that xs.engeniring tells everyone to use a oil restrictor if you are going to use a AN-4 oil line. 98ctr
