I've never had a problem with my autometers not being bright enough at night.

If you have a good source for the lights (from the proper location in the fuse box), then you shouldn't have a problem.

mine works great at night, I have them wired into the dimmer switch so the adjust with the das lighting, and I also use the green rubber caps that they came with so they looked indiglo.
