Anyone running dodge 2.2 turbo engine?
Why? Are you like 39 years old who lives in the basement of your parents house. Just because it's turbo'd doesn't make a Daytona any cooler. I'd say save your money for something actually worth modding.
Horrible horrible cars. Super slow.

I had a 89 last summer. Stock turbo, JY ford injectors, cheap 3 inch side exit exhaust, and a SRT IC, the car would have went mid to low 13's easy. Never got it to the track thou, the 155k oil pump and rod bearings didnt like the added power and I destroyed the bottom end.
you want to go FAST for cheap? Buy a TD. Im currently building a minty 86 Chrysler NY. babied its whole life untill I got it. Car should run low 14's/high 13's depending on tires once its done (next week). Nothing better to surprise the honda boys in!
head back to ------------.com for some more help.

I recall on the bimmerforums, some guy has an old Dodge that looks like an El Camino, it's run low 10s, if not high 9's so far.
The 2.2's aren't bad, its just that Dodge had some weird methods to their madness. Balance shafts all over, cams that are lift-limited because of the bearings they slip through, etc. There's also the heavy chassis to consider. If you really want to go fast in an old 2.2 Dodge, you'll get the Omni/GLH chassis. I recall Superstreet featured one, and did low 11's or high 10's with slicks. Not rusty, but the -----brown paint and plain styling made it a total sleeper.
IMO their not bad for the money, but its not hard to turbo an EF and make them look like they're standing still for the same price. There's also the wrong way to mod them, I once found some 'blog' with a Shadow guy pushing 26psi - and only getting 13's with slicks. :1
