More like 5200-5500. Best bet is to tune your VTEC engagement on the dyno.

it's actually drives better at 3500 with my new uber bin from the old 5500 crossover. Cause driving on 3v's till 5500 sucks ball and I have no power whatsoever till that 4th valve opens up at 5500. Now it just feels so much betterwith it that low on the HX head. Plus I want it early cause it may actually make the turbo take longer to spool on 12v's till 5500 since I'd believe it would have as much exhaust coming through. Let me know if my idea is totally wacked out thinking that or if it sounds somewhat logical.

i just got my t3/t4 from Camp1320 this week, it should be in by saturday if everything goes smooth. I have to chop up my downpipe and reweld a 4 bolt flange. now i wish i hadn't sold my crappy wire feed welder.

It's the best for D-series IMO.

See, I would think that would be too big. It seems as though it spools to late. I'm not really sure though. I would figure you would want full boost asap on the rpm side. My T3 people are saying it will hit at 3500. That's a .42/.48. So basically someone explain to me why the bigger turbos on the D series are better than say the T2 series turbos. Thanks. Just trying to learn. ;)

i ran a 57 trim t3/t4, .48 hot side on a stock z6. spooled up before 4k and reached full boost by 4500. put down 239whp on 11psi. i had also ran a smaller .42.48 t3 and it spooled up a little sooner, but felt no where near as good as the t3/t4 on the same amount of boost. trust me, it's well worth the extra little bit of lag you get.

well the t3/t4 is installed! it rips hard at only 8psi... it looks like i'm getting full spool about 4400-4600rpm. The "lag" i was hearing about is over exagerated for this turbo/trim on a SOHC... it perfectly complements the z6 motor in my opinion, i couldn't imagine running something like a t25. i'll get some before and after pics up soon.

^^^ what are the specs of your t3/t4? I just ordered my t3/t04b for the z6 O0

i have a 57 trim .60/.63ar to4e thats going to be going on a SOHC but a 2.2L vtec SOHC.

w/ my calculations at 10psi ill be out of the effeciency range until 4000-4500rpms or so but im sure it will rip..

alright, pix as i promissed... I'm super happy with this turbo! wierd thing is that my t3 60 trim would fall out of boost going into 3rd, where as this turbo does not fall out of boost at all... I think maybe the turbo i got from down2turbo was kind of shitty on top of bad luck.

old t3 60trim

New t3/t4e 50trim

I finally figured out that no HMT turbo kit is complete without Whitey bends, ---- mandrel.
