Anyone ever use a Nissan T3 (280zx) turbo?
Just bought one, going to try it out. My research tells me that it is good for 275whp on a 280zx (fuel limited), and it MAY have a different outlet flange, but that is uncertain.
Looking for specs or whatever.

Nissan 280zx, it's a T3 stage 1 0.63 a/r turbine with 60 trim, 0.60 a/r compressor.
The turbine outlet flange is 7 bolts rather than the standard 5 bolts pattern. This desiign of turbine is better. It's less prone to cracking.
It's good for 300 BHP.
With a T4 compressor uprgade, it can suipport 400 BHP

Thanks! Good to know. I was looking for 3-400hp, and I found that they can put a T4 wheel in the T3 housing so if I do that I won't have to change my charge piping.
Real bummer on the turbine outlet though. Anyway to make a standard flange fit, already have one of those lying around.

It's an excellent turbine. Don'T worry about the 7 holes pattern. I do have a few of the matching block off flanges and swingvalve housings here.
Yes. just a larger comp wheel is possible but you might as well get a complete t04B or T04E compressor upgrade and, if the turbo is used, a complete preventive rebuild with balancing to less than 0.5 gr/cm will make it last a long way.

Woah, that's some impressive numbers.
according to the flow charts, 250 WHP (around 325BHP) is the MAX that this turbo can make and starting from 250 BHP, it looses efficiency, which means that when you were pushing 250 WHP, let's say you would have had a larger compressor on that same turbine, you could have produced more power with less overheating at the same boost.
