i got 9psi on my d15b in my crx. car runs incredibly hard. im getting dyno numbers on Sat, so ima post em up. im thinking 240+ whp for this one, the car is running extremely hard. i blew the doors off an Evo8 the other day, i shifted 2nd on him and rode 2 cars on it in just that gear.

i did make 130whp all motor, IHE w/ lightened flywheel. at 4.4 psi the car made 190+whp, the dyno was shut down 1000rpm too early on that one.

i will return with a dyno chart. d15b is the best d series since the dohc zc.

does d15b got better rod to stroke ratio?

but does it have weekeer rods then z6?

crower is the only one that make aftermarket rods for d15?

#1 Yes which makes it quicker to rev and happier
Compression ratio 9.3
Bore, mm 75
Stroke, mm 84.5

Also keep in mind it has a lighter assembly due to the rod journal size. The journals are the same as a D15B7 which makes the crank lighter as well and results in easier, higher revs for longer periods of time with less stress and wear.

#2 No the z6 and d15b have the same thickness of a rod.

D15B on the left, D16Z6 on the right

#3 Yes, unfortunatly due to the odd sizes they need to be custom made. Maybe with a higher demand (when people realize how potent these little 1.5's are) someone else like Eagle will produce econo rods. Most people run stock internals and never build their engine up. Lets keep this our little D15B secret as they are much easier to find these days and has far less abuse on them. While it does give up 100cc's to a Z6 it puts out the same power rated at 130ps or roughly 128hp (figures at the flywheels before the frictional losses of about 15-17%)

difference in displacement isn't that big.

d15b = 1534cc's
d16z6 = 1594cc's

you mind measuring the length of the d15b rods? there really aren't any OEM replacements are there...?

The main journals are 45mm like the D15B7, But the rod journals are 45mm like all of the D16 blocks.
