mechanical ones are more accurate from what I've been told but its a trade off. accuracy or oiled up interior.

I've been running my mech gauge for a while now and its just fine. I'm using a copper line instead just for piece of mind. I think whenever you hear someone with probs with there gauge it's most likely an error on their part.

sell it on ebay and buy a mech. one, soooo much easier, then you don't have to worry about getting oil all in your interior.

even the instructions with my 13$ (3 gauge set) harbor freight oil gauge said to loop it and make sure theres a grommet in the firewall.

what would i need to make a copper line?

You'd just need the fittings + the line

the nylon lines are perfectly fine though. Just wrap them in a paper towel if you're so worried.

nobody is going to sell you a gauge that is designed to leak oil into your interior, just hook your ---- up right and you shouldn't have a problem.
