Re:air/fuel gage

do you think that the air fuel gage is not picking anything up because I am no running any exost pipes from the turbo and the O2 is isent have enought time to read it or that there is no back presher to keep the exost gases there long enough?

Re:air/fuel gage

probably have a bad connection. at idle it should flicker up and down around the middle (.5v) and at WOT it should be at the top (0.7-0.9v)

Re:air/fuel gage

narrow band a/f gauges are NOT ACCURATE, try and tune a car with one and see how long it lasts, then put a wideband on it and see how accurate you were.....

Re:air/fuel gage

could I not just take my multi meter and hook it up to the o2 and tune it like that. My air fuel gage is ---- because I got the mix so rick i stalled the car and the gage still seid I was running lean >:(

Re:air/fuel gage

yep thats what i do. i might try to just rip out the lcd of a cheap multimeter and remote mount it with an led backlight. yes take heed, its a very crude way to measure.

XDEep how exactly did you tune your car with a multimeter connected to the O2 sensor???

Same way you do with the AFC blue wire "mod". Monitor the O2 voltage and tune that way.

Re:air/fuel gage

well under boost keep it rich. 0.8-0.9v+ until you get it on a wideband. monitor your exhaust gas temps with an egt. again, dont do this, its very crude and dumb. leave that to the impatient and crazy ones :P

Re:air/fuel gage

so today I riped (and changed) the O2 and looked at all the conections and low and behold now when I hit boost the air fuel gage says i am in the green, but I dont trust it >:(
