Default ? about turbo repair...[WW]

First post, don't worry, I know the rules...

Anyway, I got a turbo today, but haven't managed to take a picture of it...

The circled area, on my turbo is curved up, and a chunk is missing, could this easily be repaired just by being welded up? Any chance only a certain kind of turbo has that area curved up?
No, I do not have it in front of me to look at, I know, I fail...
A little bit of this...

...and a few more

Doesn't sound that bad, though I'd make sure that big ring seal is intact and pretty secure. What kind of turbo do you have?

I don't know what type of turbo it is, all I know is that it is internally wastegated.
I was told if was off of a diesel, but seems to be to small and clean, it also has 0 shaft play.
A buddy brought up the fact that maybe it is off of a Kabota tractor...
I'll have it here tomorrow, I left it in my friend's car.

No worries, see if you can get some pictures and numbers off of the turbo. It would greatly help in seeing if the turbo is good or not. My guess as of right now, yes. That little dent on the compressor side most likely prolly won't have an effect on the turbo's performance.

I'm almost %100 positive I will use the turbo for something.
I need a compressor housing and I will need to weld up the wastegate so I can run an external.

I looked on the turbo and some of the text was small and all together, not on seperate parts of the turbo itself, it looks almost brand new...

Well, I got the turbo in front of me...
I see IHI...
I see 4B3 a few times...

It has a 4-bolt, circular exhaust flange.

Any ideas...?
