WOW, so many new posts.......


Anyways, just wanted to say.... I'm currently rebuilding an HX35w for a different project, and I wish I didn't listen to someone who told me that there was no way this vgt had the same shaft as another Holset. Turns out the shaft is the same as this HX35! Well, similiar enough that they could interchange no problem (asides from the whole exhaust wheel replacment is probably a nightmare, + balancing needed). The turbines are also very similiar, the inducer on the VGT is 1-2 mm larger and the exducer is the same. Obviously on the compressor side things are much larger. And no, you can't swap the compressor housings, allthough it does look like an HX35 housing could be machined to except the large vgt's wheel, but not sure why anyone would want to.
