Default 9.5:1 Slugs + .040 Milling = ---- on 94 pump?

I found a great deal on a set of used SRP 9.5:1 slugs, but really need some help/advise on whether or not to get them.

My head was built and I asked for .040 to be taken off because at first I planned on stock compression and that would knock it up quite a bit

Now 9.5:1 and the milling would work me to about 10.2:1 or so correct? Anyway I could double stack an A6 gasket to drop it down a little?

t3 .60/.63, 16psi, 94 octane, budget fully built A6, daily driven on turboedit

Thanks!!

Tune the ---- outta it and run the highest octane you can.

my stock b16 is 10.2:1 c/r and it loved 15 psi with stock internals on 93 oct., you'll be fine

anything over 15-16 psi you will start o detonate, be careful. Do you have an exhuast temp guage? This wuold help monitor your ex. temps

not if it's tuned correctly, you just take out more timing you can make enought power to break a rod without ever detonating, it's all in the tune.

.040, your cam timing will be off a bit you should probably use a cam gear to get it back in check if your going to hit a dyno

Ive got an AEM adjustable cam gear, no biggie there

So you guys think pump would be able to hold this sucker without pulling loads of timing?

I figured the compression would be to high

yeah, like i said, usdm b16's are 10.2:1 and b18c's are higher. people (including me) boost them every day on pump gas. teh fact that you have forged internals makes it all that much safer/stronger.

Yeah I was just being sure it wasnt ***** high for a d16

Anyways, have any info on double stacking a headgasket? Never heard if it could be done

Dont wanna really fork out $100 for a cosmetic becuase Im sure I may blow them a fair bit

Thanks for the help

9.5:1 SRP's w/ a .040 milled head = 10.4:1.
