Maybe Weir can design some adapter plates that offset the turbo half an inch to the drivers side.

i bought it from bumblezc...it was made for an identical setup except on an ef...so its cable and there is no issues with the slave cylinder.

i must say ill probably end up going with jon's idea with the hammer (accordepicenter also recommended this). theres a nice torch at work that might make it easier too. your 2.5" looks close and the 3" is definetly wider than that, with the wastegate recirculated into the exhaust. well, the turbo will be put together tomorrow night, and the intake manifold should finally be off the head i bought (one bolt). and ill do a test fit and get some pics.

thanks.

here are some pictures to give you an idea of how everything lines up. i think ill be okay with the radiator fan, maybe cut a little off the fan shroud....but ill DEFINETLY have major issues clearing the slave cylinder. id have to hammer the wastegate dump tube in half...so i may have to relocate it or cut it and empty to the atmosphere...and weld a plate in the pipe. its nice to finally see everything together though...makes it seem so much closer to being finished.

^^^to give an idea of how far the slave cylinder sticks out.

nice side view...(the turbo has since been rotated)

let me know what you think as far as what to do with the downpipe/wastegate dumptube. thanks.

He'll have to prepare to upgrade to a different manifold.

Dude, you're proposing he bashes in half of his downpipe for the master cylinder.
If he is building his engine and going for a high power setup, he needs to get an exhaust manifold that will allow for him to do it right.
