Thanks guys, I have had a small change of plans. I have decided to build a twin turbo rear setup. :"similiar to the STS setup" I want to put a small oil tank in the trunk and recirculate the oil with an electric pump and maybe an oil cooler. I still havent decided on which turbos to use, Im stuck between expensive Garretts or maybe rebuilt Holsets.
Here is a link to my last project.

Any recomendations. I want 500hp for now but would like to turn boost up to 600-700 hp later after motor is built.

Will a stock 4.6 hold 400 horsepower?

dont do it man. go with a larger single turbo setup. mount the turbo ahead of the engine.
there is no need to boost 15-20 lbs on a large displacement motor(unless your goal is racing). i think you will be very happy with 8-10 lbs. 8-10 lbs should add ~ 100-150 whp. it would make it a nice street car. if you goal is to build it to hold 600-700 hp the rear turbo setup has its limitations and will not be able to boost that high.

There was a fella I think on the Saleen site that had over 100 passes s/c 650 whp and was still together last time I checked.

The internals on the 4.6 are very stout, I would find out your injector combo's. SVT Lightning injectors that run 42 lb. You would probably have good luck with that. BoostGear gave good advice on the turbo. I know but haven't searched that you can get your ecu flashed for a tune. See if there are any ecu hacks out there. You should easily be able to put a good system together for fairly inexpesive.

Other methods if custom tuning is out of the question, split second psc-1 injector maf calibrator (good up to 16 psi), rising rate regualtor (junk but cheap and if done to low boost not too bad) I have a BEGI regualtor for sale if you want it!

The good thing you got going for you is being a fabricator, you will remove much of the price right there

Good luck

longer turbo manifolds are kinda not worth it at only 8psi. the longer pipes are really to help add torque and help the spool when on higher boost. and with that new of a car you better hope you dont have to worry about passing emissions with that obd2 computer. but sounds like it could be a fun dd.
