i am under the impression that if it is made from cast iron, what would you need to weld it to the exhaust? can you even weld the cast iron to mild steel or stainless? it may have to be "bronze rod" gas welded to the exhaust. or it may not work.

I guess they don't allow links to other forums. Guy uses a throttle body and makes his own boost controlled cut out.

 

i throttle body?? really..... hmmmm that might even work really well.... i wonder how it would hold up to the heat of the exhaust.... i would have liked to see the build though...

yeah waste a ---- load of money on something you can easily make with a used throttle body and a wiper motor good iead or save that 250 and buy a good used turbo

 

i need to have a down pipe fabbed so this exhaust cut out you talk of is very interesting... do tell
