and the answer is:
compressor surge.
do to the fact that it is crushed. the bov will not open under low boost AT ALL!!the only time i got it to open was when i boosted up to 8lbs. so i put an uncrushed 1g in there and it's loud as hell and sounds exactly like a HKS SSQV/Greddy Type S. so i'm happy.

i recomend T ing off one of the large intake manifold hoses, PCV valve, charcoal canister hose ex. get a 1/4" plastic T at the auto parts and the small clamps for the hoses and T off the charcoal canister filter for the wastegate and the PCV valve hose for the BOV, both of these are strong vacuume/boost sources.

Bad BOV? Its Teed into the IM so I couldnt imagine the vac source being the problem.
