doesn't matter what psi i get my bov flutters so bad. it actually doesn't sound bad, but isn't it suppose to make a solid whooosh sound?? vac source off intake manifold for bov and wg aswell. both go directly into the intake manifold.

Are you sure the bov is opening? It could also be compressor surge. try a stronger vacuum source.

My 1g has a very strong whoosh. I think yours is not opening. Can push it open with your finger? Mine was cruded up but I cleaned it and its good as new.

my 1st gen dsm bov does the same thing and my vac lines are just like urs, i think im going to use the nipple on the turbo for the wg and give the bov its own vac.

Maybe you have oil in it... When i blew my motor...my blow off valve was making a weird noise at idle, and would lag and stutter when i let the throttle off... then when i took the lines apart there was oil in them... thats what was causeing it... like when you have air in your brake lines... they tend to stutter when you stomp on them

My 1g DSM BOV goes "Choo" when I let off the gas, not whoosh. I also get fluttering EVERYTIME... i think its compressor surge.

pop the hood with the car idling, pull the throttle cable and give her a nice rev. Feel if any air comes out the bov. If not, it's either not hooked up right, or is bad.

get one of those vaccume pumps at pepboys put it on the vaccume port of the bov... it should open between 15-20 inches of HG.
