Looking to make 300-400hp? -D16Z6 block Golden Eagle sleeves (not sure which pistons. I was going to use the new Vitaras I have but IDK) -Stock Z6 head with Supertech valves (most likely gonna get a ZEX cam and Supertech springs and ret.) -Eagle rods (not sure if I should use the CAT ebay rods I have) -I have a new set of 550cc inj (not sure if they will flow enough) -Tial 38mm W/G -Greddy BOV -IDK which turbo or Injectors -CCA front mount IC -JG Log mani -CompClutch stage 3 w/Si trans After a dyno session 170hp seemed pretty weak, so I went back to the drawing board. I should get my engine back from the machine shop next week and Blaast is shipping me a larger housing for my turbo. Im shooting for 250hp - 300hp. I want to take advantage of the built bottom end. So now Im gonna use some parts I already have and Ill upgrade later. So the turbo will be T3/T04B .63/.60 and the 550cc inj are good for about 350hp. I picked up the OBD1 conv setup from Chris to run the Z6 head with a Neptune program. I also went to the local body shops to get an estimate on the cost to repaint my car. The range was $1500-$4000. The majority of the work is repairing the rust damage to the rear wheelwells. This me and my friend are going to do at his shop when he isnt so swamped. The pic of the Dyno chart is before I adjusted the cam gear and Ignition timing to alter the torque curve. The car runs well and Ill keep posting up. Attachment 23770 |

So, after turning up the boost over 16psi with stock slugs and rods, my car sounded like a Subaru. The engine temp goes up and smoke was blowing out from the valve cover.
After pulling the motor I see the problem. Attachment 21284 Attachment 21285 Broken ringlands. >:D This is the condition of the bearings. Attachment 21286 Attachment 21287 Attachment 21288 So.. my new Z6 Vitara motor and snail will be in the car soon. I will replace the broken/damaged internals to the old A6, and keep it for a spare. The new turbo will be a T3/T4 .60/.63 "V" trim with 550cc inj. Goals are 300hp+ and a lot of upgraded parts. 8) |
