Stock the 1.6 DOHC 323 GTX was rated for 130-something hp, but with a LOT of torque. The turbo it comes with is pretty puny.

I've driven a couple Capri XR2's (FWD version of the same powerplant) and they torque steer happily for a stock vehicle. Nothing really powerful, but better than you'd expect for the mundane 323 or gay looking Capri.

yeah that 323 turbo will suit your 1.5 nicely, it will spool up quickly if thats what your loooking for.

I thikn the 323 made around 190ish Bhp if you cranked the boost up to 14psi but if you run the stcok 7psi you are prolly looking at 130ish hp, but that is just an estimate based on the 323. You should ask around an see if you could crank it up to 14psi as people do on their 323s.
