first of, is a 14b worth rebuilding? i found one locally for $80 but i think it needs rebuilt. is it worth the money and time to rebuild. if so, where can i buy the rebuild kit? i am pretty new at all of this, so any help from you all would be great.

no. 80$ is a crappy deal for a screwed up turbo. offer 30 and put it on ebay

is it worth it if it doesnt need rebuilding? its at a junkyard i had them put it on hold till i can get over there to look at it. how can i tell if i will even need to rebuild it? sorry im still dumb about this stuff...

u cant really tell until the turbo is on your car.
but check the play on the shaft.

if it has any in-out play it really is whooped

thanks for the info...ya know maybe there should be some sort of a tutorial thing on hmt so us newbies can know what to look for when we hunt down a used turbo. or is it already here and i just havent found it. hell if its not here, i would be more than happy to help with it...it would save guys like me a lot of frustration and "stupid questions"....sucks not knowing a lot yet. thanks for the help shorty~
