$$ i can now finaly start last minute info please
i decided to wait untill i had money to do everything at once so i would not get stuck with 1/2 a car.
this spring / summer i am going to do my fisrt swap. yey me
i am doing a b18b and am going to go turbo emagine that
T3/4t4 60-1 trim is what i am thinking or but im not sure if that will spool soon enough with a 7k redline
so either way i want to hit 300 whp or clsoe to it dont need to set my goals to high for my first one.
i want it to be a semi daily driver more of a weekend warior. i am going to get eagal rods and am not sure about the what type of pistons to get. Also wondering weither i should raise the compression to 9.5 or just leave it stock not that it will make a huge diferance.
now for 300hp do i need to get it resleaved or will the stock sleaves beable to hold that much powe/boost. Im thinking 14psi or a littler higher to hit 300hp
1. What turbo would give me optimom performance.
2. what type of pistons do you prefer?
3. Raise compression or not?
4. Do i need to resleave?
5. Did i do my math right or am i off on the 14 - 15 psi from a t3/t4 60-1
Thanks for the help
oh and i am thinking o f getting my swap from http://www.naganojapanese.com/jdm_b18bg1.htm anyone buy there just for referance

noobs should be restricted to one question per day or something sheesh. 2. Read up, lots of pistons are good Cp. SRP. Arias, etc... forged is forged, basically. No you dont need sleeves, and you should really read up before you build your own or try to break in a new motor, read up noob

noob my *** i said noob like question.
just wanted to know what pistons you prefer not that alot are good.
the whole sleve thing i had no idea so thanks no sleves = more money but right now this project got put on hold due to some family ---- so i hopefull will get either another car or will be able to keep mine and still turboit.
mother ****** do you see anything in that about sleves cause iv read it like 8 ------ times and ther is no such ---- lol
dont want to break in a new motor i just was wondering after new pistons and rods how long do i drive like a puss if i have to. i used to think it was 3000 miles but my new truck said 500 miles so just wondering what would be safe before i boost

Re: $$ i can now finaly start last minute info please
I just put new wiesco pistons and eagle h-beams rods in my b18b1 motor with clevite h-series main bearing and ACL race rod bearing and i took it easy for about 400 miles and it only has 880 miles on it now and everything feels fine to me. As long as it was put together by a pro. with the correct specs you should be all good. just let it rip

You dont have to take it easy per se, breaking in a motor you built yourself is not like breaking in a factory motor. You have to seat your rings and then after that the car is pretty much ready to be tuned, it's a good idea to have a tuner with you when you seat the rings too. And no, having a turbo on a fresh motor is not a problem, I broke my motor in with turbo on a basemap so...
