well i figured it out. i have an oil filter relocation kit and one of the hoses is pretty close to the exhaust.
so it got baked and hardened and eventually cracked and spewed blood...i mean oil like an artery.
so now i need to find some high quality rubber hose and some heat shields for them. maybe ill just use
some aluminum foil. homemade style.
