Welding 316L to 304L, can I do it?
Just as the title says....I got a hellova deal on some stainless steel weld els at a local plumbing supply house today and realized when I got home I have one that is 316L and the other is 304l
!!! I am not looking to build a space shuttle but am courious if it would not be compatible for normal turbo abuse.

yes using either 309 or 316.
however 316 is an EXTREMELY poor choice in manifold material. By the time you heat cycle it, it may aswell have been built with mild steel and it's not as good as 304.
