Go on Honda-tech and do a search for DIY coating.

Or you could clean the manifold off, spray it with actual exhaust coating good for 2000* and have it actually last/work.

The sheer fact **** says it will work makes me sure it will fail. I did the spray paint with my downpipe. It took a couple of months, but the spray is chipping and dying. The spraypaint method doesn't last. The exhaust coating method will last. Do whatever you want. Its worth throwing another method out.

 

I used the duplicolor "engine paint" or whatever it was. It has stayed on pretty well thus far. Only used it for a little while.

 

If you painted the engine with it, it'll last. I tried the duplicolor crap on my 4-1 header and it just flaked off after a week or so. I've used the VHT extreme high temp paint (the 1300* plus stuff) and it actually worked pretty well on my old turbo manifold. Only time I ever had that stuff come off was with a grinder :P

 

Although its more expensive, you could get it ceramic coated, supposedly it keeps the heat in giving you a ---- hairs faster spool.

 

BBQ Grill paint works pretty darn good. I've used it quite a few times and it has never came off.

Thats what I used on my mani, high temp BBQ paint, was like $6 at crappy tire from my buddies hot *** ------- sister, ---- that girls beautifiul

But yeah, high temp BBQ paint worked for me
