I did that and it sucked. The mount had been sitting on my desk for like 4 months and I pealed the window weld out and it was still wet on the inside. Plus all of my other mounts are shot and it's either buy new mounts at 30 something a piece, or make some.

That idea is win.
Window weld is not solid enough for my tastes any polyurethane inserts are homo.

heat the center pin with a torch and twist it with vice grips to break it loose and pull it from the rubber. Using a lot of spray lube cut through the rubber and sleeve with a hacksaw, 2 cuts 90* apart. Chisel out the segment, and the rest will follow easily.

worked for me when i did this before. i dont know why i didnt say something a month ago when you brought this up
