how come the welds on that collector don't penetrate all the way through like this one I've got sitting on my table?

because i didnt weld the inisde yet faghat. no point in full penetration on your top pass unless your backpurging so, i would rather not send a mani out filled with "sugar"

The first pass joins the metal, second pass you go for penetration.

With all the welding experience you obtained with making all those manifolds, you'd think ur beads would come up to par with other companies.
