ground off the lip on the TB and put it in a 2.5" steel pipe with the widened end (for slipping a 2.5" piece into it)..if that makes sense.

Then I drilled 2 holes 180 degrees or so away from eachother through both the steel and aluminum and drilled screws into them.

For anyone that cares, I think a 91+ Jeep Cherokee 4.0 throttle body would work really well for this type of application. Here is a pic of what they look like:

lulz that would suck. Nope, the cable housing isnt coated in...anything so you get that nice metal-on-metal fritction. Stays open just fine.
