Have to say she's prettier than your bike ;) Mines 8 and I have a white shotgun that 8 1/2. Any Remington will do ;)but make sure you use high quality paint ;D Now you have a name for the bike too. Cool name for a bike I'd say.

Thanks for the kind words guys, she's incredible!

Here's what I did the day before she was born:

I'm liking it so far. Again, the sides will be cut down to slim up the fender. Also, I'm going to make some mini round bar struts to keep the top steady.

I also got my new compressor in- The last one was just too physically big to fit into where I needed it to be along with the tank and battery and electricals. I included the can to show the actual size, this thing is tiny! Much better. Will take a bit longer to fill the tank, but I'm not too concerned.

using my ultra sweet MS Paint skills, here's a rendering of the exhaust I want to build. Any thoughts?

LOOKS AWESOME man!!!! I think you might have wanted to space the tire out a tad further (used bigger tubing for movk)... Cant wait to se her done!!! Especially for the trimmed down fender...

I liked my design, so I went with it :)

Check the pics and let me know whatcha think. I ran out of bends right at the last minute, so the top pipe doesn't have a turnout on it, I'll have to get another bend to finish it, but I'm really pleased with the way they came out. Fitment in some areas isn't as perfect as I wanted it, but really they turned out nice.
I'm going to finish weld them, and add some supports, maybe even a couple tabs on the backside with a spring connecting the two.

And I took a final picture to show the exhaust placement supposedly next to my my leg, and after I took the pic, I don't think I could've looked any more like a dork. So using my sweet MS Paint skills, I put a pimp cap on.

how much shock travel do you have in the front?
how much space do you have under the front of the frame when the rear is raised?

good question on the shock travel, I'm not sure, whatever the stock travel is for a 2004 zx6r i guess?

The lowest point on the frame when aired up has just over 4" of clearance. Won't be a problem.

I worked on it a little more today, I wasn't happy with the first shifter and linkage setup I made- it looked too crappy. So I made a new lever out of roundbar, the tabs will be shaped soon. The linkage itself turned out pretty good.

I cut out the rear fender finally, and made some struts for it. Came out pretty well I thought. I might give the struts themselves a little more support. I also cut the section out to clear the chain.

To answer the question of how much clearance I'll have, I finally got a new tube in the front tire and aired everything up. As I suspected, at the lowest point I had 4" of clearance. The little green circle is where it's finally touching.
If I manage to get this bike this far over, I'm going to scare myself!

Also, as a side note: I'm a cheap fellow, and I don't want to pay the local harley place for a new petcock for my tank. If anyone has a spare Sportster petcock lying around that they would sell me for cheap, let me know!

Thanks guys
Sky

I suppose they wanted a couple hundred bucks for just a petcock, huh? :P

Looks real good, especially the exhaust. I've always liked those 650 twins... It's also nice to see people building custom bikes that don't have a retardedly raked-out front end...This makes me want to go back and build the bike for my sohc 750 mill I've got layin around

Great work man, can't wait to see her on the road :y

from the angle it looks like the foot peg might hit the ground first. it looks like the only reason it isnt is cause it is off the bench. i could be wrong, but from that angle it looks that way
