do you have a chop saw or angle grinder? If so you can do that and mark it up and have someone else weld it. Not the best route, but would surely work.

It's all about social skills. on stuff like that they charge what they feel like. the bent the rear pipe that goes under the lca on my accord for 15 bucks. I actually asked the guy about making me a down pipe. he quoted me 40 unless it get complicated.

also, if u can find a cool mom and pop style muffler shop, thjey will normally be cheaper than the big chains

Yeah go to a mom and pop place and throw some guy $20 to weld together something that you already made up.

Just make all the cuts and mark them with a sharpie so that it is easy for him to weld that bitch up.
