thanks guys. the welder is a lincoln idealarc sp150. its old and from the 80's but it works.
i didnt grind the welds down, i just painted it with vht flat black high temp paint. looks good on the car.
turbo is back on and at 5psi till i can get it tuned then im shooting for 200whp and whatever psi it takes to get there. it feels alot faster at 5 psi on the 5 speed than 11psi on my old automatic setup.. 5 speed ftw!

jagojon. yes it would have been easier and thats the way i wanted to do it in the first place and thats how my last downpipe was. if you look up a few posts there is a reason why i didnt do it like that..
