Default my new downpipe

just made this, it didnt come out as well as i had thought it would. there was some tight bends in there that i didnt want but overall im happy with it. im not that good at welding but im getting better so maybe that counts for something.. im going to paint it with some vht black paint once i clean it up some. my last downpipe rusted so thats why im going to paint this one.

what do you all think?

why did you run it so high underneath the turbo? couldn't it have bent further down right off the exhaust turbine? it looks awful tight to your oil return fitting on the turbo.

Yeah werd, other than that it looks good. If you want to hide your welds get some exhaust heat wrap. Cleaned mine up real good.

its not as tight up to the oil return as the picture looks, but im still thinking of using some heat wrap anyway.

thanks for the "e" for effort and the "f" for flow. like i give a ---- about a super jdm downpipe that can flow good enough for 500hp. 180hp is my goal and this is fine for it, plus it only cost me 25 bucks to make.

Why didnt you just flip the turbo and put the downpipe on the other side? At least you made you own dp for a good price.

had it like that before. the way the manifold is, the exhaust housing was about 2" from the radiator fan housing so i turned the turbo the other way for this one. maybe later on ill get a slim fan and make another one out of all mandrel bent pipe. for now this one is just fine.
