Hi guys my mig welder run out of gas, well tehcincally its been refilled now but the regulator is busted and the earliest i'll be able to get a repalcemenet is 1 week as it need to be ordered in. Bceasue of no gas the welds collapse and have tiny holes here and there and theres the birdshit spatter as well. Is there anything I can do get some welding done until the regulator comes or will i have to wait.

I guess I'll have to use the oxy/acetylene worst comes to worst.

get a self shielding wire. Not all flux core can be ran with no shielding gas.

 

you can get regulators at home depot and lowes, the both sell MIG and stick welding parts

 

wait on the new regulator. dont oxy-fuel unless you're really good at it.
if you had too you can use a psi regulator that's purged of whatever it use to use. but be warned the flow rate will be less than 1psi and you'll have a hard time setting it. i wouldn't dick with it that way either...

 

Flux core FTW. Thats almost all I use. I weld teh **** birdshit welds
