The premium flanges from BMC have some extra cuts on the backside, and the ports are cnc'd from what ever shape the port at the heads is to round. So that you don't have to squish the pipe to fit the port.
Here is something I worked on/off the past couple days, looks pretty pimp
But way to much work.

Most all of those are gone now
