can anyone else comment on the order of the welding? I always thought you tacked the pipes to the flange, then tacked them all to eachother. Broke the tacks on the head flange and welded all the runners, then weld it back to the flange.

i guess im still having a bit of a problem with torch angle too. When ever the weld is in an easy position, and the fitment of the pipes is good like the dead middle weld in between the Ts, my welds look real nice. But when im in an awkward position thats real tight or i cant see too well, its hard to get a puddle going. Im starting to see the disadvantage of the lift arc now. I think ive outgrown its capabilities.

when your welding to the head flange inbetween the runners, do you add filler in front of the puddle as it moves tword you? maybe someone could take a pic for me of how they would weld it. Ill take one of how ive been doing it.

Your gonna have to learn with your hand now.
It's not that hard just rest it on something while
you weld.

in this stiuation try turning the manifold so the angle is better and run the filler between the runners as well as your line of sight

and also weres your plate to bolt the head flange to?

if you're keeping that 22rte topend stuff.. just swap intake on, and build a header for a t3. BUY pistons, some nice forged will do. also, turbo rods are marginally stronger
