how thick should the piping be for a turbo manifold??
a friend of mine is gonna make a turbo mani for me, so i went and bought the piping for it but he says he thinks it's too thin ( looks a lil bigger then 1/8th thick) so how thick should the piping be to hold up to the high temp.?

Its a shot in the dark (since your not specific on anything) but that should be fine, just brace the turbo. For some reason people think your supposed to build manifolds with 8 gauge schedule 40 industrial pipe, to ensure maximum manifold weight and heat soak.

i like to use 1/2" wall pipe for my race manifolds in reality if the walls are a bit over 1/8" it will be plent just like whitey said put a brace on the turbo and it will be fine. and remember thinner walls retain heat in the exhaust better thus giving beter performance.
