My wife and I designed it.There is a place in Fort Worth that carries all the scrolls and we just picked what we liked from the catalogue, drew it out and bought the scrolls.Shes got some other ---- drawn up she wants me to do.I figure I cant bitch since she works and I just get to sit at home .

Cray,we had'nt thought about a glass top untill I was all done :1.The glass top wont work now since the "L" channel on top is an 1-1/2".I would of had to go with a 1/2" in order to make it work .But there is allways next time

Why would it matter if the glass sat in the groove or if it was sitting on top? All good tables have sharp edges for kids to hang themselves on.

if you made a nice 1.25x1.25 square wood frame for the glass to sit on it might be nice. looks **** but I was more impressed when I thought you made the scrolls to

put some channel across it and use some ceramic tiles to just sit in place for the top. i've seen a few tables designed like that... i liked the idea because if you get tired of the colour or pattern, just replace the tiles with different ones.

looks good, i have to do something like this.

Put some grids in it that would hold standard floor tiles, then you can just drop em in and out.

glass is definitely the way to go. even if your "L" is 1.5 inch thick. Make some spacers to put underneath the glass. You have to use glass, it wouldn't look right any other material. so get some .5inch to 1inch glasss and use some .5 inch rubber stoppers. Or better yet put some weatherstripping in there to not only work as a spacer and keep it from moving. In conclusion, glass is the only answer.

if the ---- rack could withstand a hotrex style pounding it should have a equivilent weight threshhold of about 900 lbs and a max torque rating of about 7 million
