HMT traction bars
I remember a while back there was a lot of threads about building a homemeade set of traction bars...im wondering if there was ever a solid write up on what materials to use and maybe some dimensions for building a set. i work at a sheetmetal shop and have most of the materials available to me...im just looking for a solid write up to get me going...thanks.

Did anybody getaround to making some 90-93 Integra bars?I remember someone was waiting for a test vehicle to build some/test fit etc.

I had actually bought a DA and was going to make some but I don't like that fact they are structal. I would never build something that could break and I would be liable. If the EG/EK/DC bars ever malfunctioned its not a big deal.

What about the EF's? any worries on making a traction bar for that?

---- I need a bar for my DA. ------- bars are about 450$ a pop. Cant you just copy placeracing or someone? There are only 2 companies that make them for DAs I think. ::)

I have been running my bars in my car with no problems. Launches on Slicks with LSD, daily driving on shitty roads and all. Even before selling my bars through LSD Motorsports I had 10-15 units out and have never heard any complaints or failures.
As for the DA bars. I would like to work out a design but it is not as easy as Copying a companies bar. I need a car to make the first prototype on, and even after that I still like to have a car for every one I make seeing as the extra mounting locations. My EF Jig is a car. I cut the front end of a car off. |
