so what is the benefit of a air/ water over a front mount?

 

efficiency. water/air coolers are a shitton more effient, less pressure drop ect. great for a drag car, not so ghot for a street car.

Hotrex: I welded the ic piping in aluminum on our little project car to match your aluminum air/water ic. I couldn't bring myself to make it out of mild steel so I used the aluminum from my car. I'll just remake mine.

I need to take some pics of my aluminum welds. Some practice seems to go a long way.

arent you supposed to run the charge air when the cooling air used to go and the water through where the charge air was?? thats what i read

 

no way woudl that work anywhere near as good.

especially on a used dsm core with mashed fins ect. air flow thru the core would be much worse.

water flows mint thru the bent fins though plenty good enough to get the job done with a 2 gallon ice tank
