the slip is in the shaft itself not the yoke, so when i get the shaft made ill let them know what the full setup is...and if the shackle was in the back it would send the driveshaft towards the case on compression anyway ouldnt it

I had my Jeep in a situation like that lastnight, but not quite that bad. We were teetering on 3 wheels back and forth. I could rock it back and forth by leaning one way or the other. The GF didn't like it very much, but I kept it parked there for a while lol.

you going to have to trim.... alot..... if you run enough lift to clear 40's, youll be on your roof leaving the mall. i was running 38" boggers on 4.5" lift.

also, d44's arent going to hold up long at all. most of the guys i run w/ were destroying built 44's on 35's and blowing up ctms on 37's.

d60 ftw

we'll see how it all works out but im not hacking this truck to bits. tIts not that im against doing that in general, as i know the least lift with the biggest tire is usally best. Basically this truck was my DD and this isnt going to be some woods beater, it will be the truck i take out to the mudholes, etc when im in the mood to have a little fun, and otherwise it will be my ride to work (only a few miles). But if it doesnt work out as planned, theres a fullsize ford a friend of mine has that i can buy for the 60's if need be

My Jeep is also my DD so I'd rather not hack it to ----, but when the time comes I'd like to run the biggest tire possible with the smallest lift possible. I have more than a couple sawzalls and quite a few hammers. :6 As of right now it still rides nice and everything works great so I "try" not to beat it up too much. :l

Everybody says D30's are weak as ----, but I've seen more than a few people run them with few problems. :-\

Dana 30's aren't that bad, its the 35's that are crap. My brother in law ran his with 33's, 35's, with stock shaft, with alloy shafts, hub kits, bias tires, radials, normal wheels, beadlocks, bout all the combinations you can imagine with a 35" tire and he once broke and ARB and thats it. The ARB was dubbed a defect and warrantied.

That's what I like to hear. :6 Mine has a bit of a "whine" to it, but I think I need to change the oil or it might be the hubs/wheel bearings. I'll worry about it when something happens. :1 Oh, and my CV's are shot to hell, but still turn the wheels so it's cool. :6

IRO has a new long arm kit for my Jeep at a decent price.........
