For the record Hobart=Miller, so yeah I'd consider Hobart or miller welding wire good stuff.

Well, thanks for the info. It came out pretty good, until I ran out of ------- wire. It always happens, I run out of wire when I'm 90% done, Ar when I'm 90% done, etc.
I'm actually going to the welding supply place today, so I'll be resupplied. I'm also buying one of the Metabo-Ridgid grinders from HD. My 15 year old Makita is finally starting to die on me. I'm also going to buy some hi-temp paint, and paint the DP.

when I did that last turbo v6 camry two months ago I took 2lbs of 3/32" ER70S-2 fille. I had a half a stick left when I was done & left about an inch on the wastegate they had to wire weld without me (wasn't sacraficing my tungsten for that lol)
In all my experiances Makita's run FOREVER compaired to many others. When they finally do start giving out just buy some new brushes & contacts ---- it. Plus they're way better than the POS dewalt & clones ergonomically, better balance, and for the same power ratings the makita's grind circles around them. :\ See it every day in the shop.
