Looks good for your ability level. Your aluminum TIG looks exactly like mine lol. Still haven't got the pedal control down like the pros. I'm also still learning how to position the torch properly so it stays even the whole bead. Also still learning to dial the machine in properly. Basically all the little ---- that makes welds look professional haha. One day I'll be able to do aluminum like some of the ---- I've seen in this section. I've only been welding for 6 months, so I have a lot more learning to do before I'll attempt to make a major component for my car. If you like it that's all that matters.

im going to guess there was a loss in power or torque. there is alot more science to building an intake manifold then welding a box to four straight tubes

i have a decent made intake manifold on my dsm and i still love it, got no reaL SPECS BUT DOES THE TRICK IN MY BOOK

The more I researched how to design the "perfect" intake manifold, the more I found that nobody agrees on a perfect formula for runner area, runner length, and plenum volume. If you ask 10 experts, they will have you build 10 different pieces, each one being "best".

Yours looks great. Don't be afraid to hack it apart and weld it back together if you feel like changing something.
