i did tighten it but damn 
that will make it just melt apart like that? it wasn't even like i dropped the torch and it broke off, it just FELL during a weld. :-(

See how the end of the gas lens sticks out of the part still attached to the torch?
You screwed it on too tight plain and simple. Just barely snug it down against the insulator and you won't have that problem again. Another thing you can try is loosening your back cap and tightening the gas lens itself into the torch more. Not trying to be a dick, but this is your fault, no one elses. Aglevtech on EBAY shouldn't do anything for you.

when i say i tightened it i don't mean i took a wrench too it 
if the INCH/LBS i "torqued" it too was so excessive it would cause the cup to break in half there REALLY needs to be a label on these things that say DO NOT TIGHTEN over X inch/lbs. x being like 2 lol
whatever, a cup is like 50 cents but damn these things are weak imo
what do you guys think of the screen? it looks dirtied or clogged almost? it might have been junk kicked up from when the cup fell into the weld. i see its also on the tungsten.
