when I fluxcore mild steel to cast iron, I use a propane torch to heat up the cast iron, and then weldmit it, it work great like that.

MerkurColin : nice welds, was it hard for the first time? waht did u do? just weld? or did u pre heat it?

jagojon3: yours was interesting, as long as it holds none the less right? Also, your freakin avitar is really annoying. Is that you in the pic? haha... Cocaine is one hell of a drug!

First time to lay anything more than bird ---- with flux is unheard of




Its flux. Its not pretty but it works. My cheapo 100 hf flux has done alot of small jobs that have saved the day for me. Anyone who is poor and just wants to start to learn its a good buy IMO.



Awesome its still holdin. Maybe reply to some of those HT threads
