it is really easy. you are over thinking it. you can lube the bearing, but use something very thin and make sure you put the snap ring back in
What size attachment would be used on a slide hammer to get the spindle off?
The ID of the wheel bearing is 1.475" so I could make a slide hammer with say a 1.3" ID and it would be perfect?
I got all the pieces to make it today at work perfectly
Just need to throw down 2 beads of weld

Thats what I wanted to do, just wanna know what size rod I can stick through the spindle and what size cap to use on the end of the slide hammer
I guess anything under the innner diameter of the wheel bearing would work......

kroil is good so is pblaster, but only if pblaster sits overnight does it really work good. I always just used a 5lb hammer to pop wheel bearings in/out
