Custome je pistons with ls wrist pins
like it says I got a sweet deal on a set of JE forged pistons for $66 for my set up, bearly used still look brand new. the problem is they where for a custome build and where for a half assed build. they where made to take the LS pins. If I bore out my TT rods to the ls pin specs do u think they would hold good power in the rods? im looking to get 400 to 500whp at the end of thin build
lets see your .02

Re: Custome je pistons with ls wrist pins
there might be a metalurgic difference between the oem wrist pins and the JE ones...I would worry more about that than the rod strength after having the rods bored a tiny bit.
thats my .02.

well just looking at a d15 piston and rod and the je the je opening is a lot bigger I still have to mic it.
but the pistons slip into my block perfect its just the pin sizes

Couldn't you just use LS rods? I thought you D16 guys would swap LS rods over (boring it out for the wrist pin). That would mean the crank is about the same size, no? I'm still kinda new to Honda/Acura, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
