Have you looked at how thin the sheetmetal is on stock mounts? I'm about double that. The pics are deceiving, but believe me, that mount is strong as hell. The rear mount is another story...
But I guess the true test will be when it's running and I romp the ---- out of it

Wow, it really depends whats left of it. If it's not rusted to ----, you could buy it and part it out on www.1stgencivic.org they treat 1st gen parts like solid gold, so you would more than likely make a nice profit. These cars are getting harder and harder to find.
