Re: custom Log mani i'm building
lol i guess if you have all the fab tools in the same shop, it might be quick.. but i have about 3 stops to make in order to build this.. my friends machine shop to cut everything up.. then to college to weld it up (building credits to get my certs) and then i take it to work to do a few things... LOL
probably not the most efficient way to do it. but unfortunately i dont have my own equipment and my own shop to do it in.

LOL its not done. i have the T3 flange sitting in the garage... this is for a LS turbo setup i'm dropping in my DA as soon as i get a chance.. the motors on the engine stand in the garage.. gotta make sure i have enough room as that full wide radiator.. the other turbo mani i had bought puts the stock WG actuator linkage into the radiator .. so decided to just make my own...
about how long i've welded.. i've been welding about a year. but i have the best teachers.. my buddy's at work all weld.. our company builds everything out of stainless steel most of the guys who are welders have been welders for MANY years.. our company has to meet ISO 9000 standards and a bunch of other stuff since it deals with sorting equipment for food product.. anyway.. i learn alot of the tricks of the trade on welding.. i'm actually an electronics tech..
i actually weld aluminum alot better than Stainless tho.. just takes lots of practice..
i went to community college and took the general welding class.. just happens that one of my friends at work who welds, is also an instructor at the College..
if you want to learn to TIG.. college is the way to go .. you get to waste their argon, tungsten, and materials ..
