I changed the whole board with a working unit. It still didnt work.

How can you be certain that it really was a working unit?

Do you have a multi tester with this function?

Ohms function will test diode. Only will flow one way.

It's not a varicap is it?

Capacitor? Can you load it up and read the flow from it?

I havent tested anything. The welder is sitting in a pile of garbage on my floor in the basement.
