auto dim welding helmet - is this normal?
i got sick of my cheap helmet so i got another cheap helmet, but with auto dim
http://www.amazon.com/Northern-Indus.../dp/B0007LKZZC
but when its dimmed, its got a darker area down the middle of the lens horizontaly, but if i hold it up to a light off my head, its not ------ there its like an optical illusion and it kinda shifts if i tilt my head up or down, so its almost always right in the middle of where im looking. so basicly its retarded. anyone ever seen this? i bought it local at the store so i can return it and i probly will. get the next best one i can find under 100 :1

i was readin about it, and the lens that your always looking through has uv and ir blocking so even if you get flashed before it has time to react, your still somewhat protected. thats what i read alleast . but fuckit. no one knows what im talkin about i guess with the dark area in the middle, probly just get a better one
